Can you cook eggs? But of course you can! The best part is that there are so many yummy and easy ways to cook them. I take that back. The best part is that you can cook them and they are so good for you. Eggs are high in protein. Definitely a great thing to eat if you are on a high protein diet. Great if you are on a weight loss journey of, pretty much, any kind
Eggs are so simple and so great. When i was younger all i wanted was a plate of scrambled eggs. It was quick and yummy. You could have it plain, with cheese, or onions. You can do it. You CAN cook eggs. And you want something healthy and quick, trust me when i say, eggs are definitely the way to go!!
The hardest part about eggs is since they are so versatile, everyone likes there eggs differently. Some like scrambled eggs plain, some like there scrambled with cheese, and some people just don’t like scrambled eggs. You definitely want to adjust. I have a family of four. Oddly enough, my daughter hates cheese on anything other than a hamburger. When i scramble our eggs i make sure to take her eggs out first. Then i sprinkle on the cheese afterwards for everyone else. Hopefully, she’ll come around.
Easy, Easy, Easy Eggs… Scrambled eggs!!
So Let’s start here. I suggest if you are just cooking for yourself that you at least use 2 eggs. This is what it would look like
1/3 cup of milk
just a sprinkle of salt and pepper
I know right? Simple!!!! I told you.
You want to beat the eggs. Some use a whisk and some a fork. Usually, I just use a fork. Beat the eggs, by just stirring them quickly. After you beat the eggs you can then put the milk, salt, and pepper into the eggs. You can melt some butter in a frying pan. When the butter has melted put the eggs in the pan and grab the spatula.
You want to just flip the eggs around basically. Just move them around in the pan to make sure that all parts are touching the pan at some point. This way the eggs will cook on all parts. I am not a fan of wet eggs. So i stir them around enough to not see any wetness on the eggs. In my mind the eggs are not done, if they are still wet. Some like it like that so i would just cook it until you are satisfied with how done they are.
Here’s a secret. I absolutely love garlic. So i sprinkle a little garlic powder on my eggs. Because it’s scrumptious. I don’t know why my husband is so picky. I mean yum!!! He prefers just salt and pepper. Fine by me but mine will always have some tasty garlic powder.
Alright, so you have now scrambled eggs. Feel free to be adventurous. Chop some onions, green peppers, red peppers, chives, sprinkle some cheese. Oh, the different scrambled egg toppings you could do.
How to Make Boiled Eggs
Let me tell you! i have had my share of mess ups when it comes to boiling an egg. Oh man. It has been hit or miss. Sometimes the shells don’t come off right. Some times the yolk isn’t all the way done. Sometimes, i am OK with that. Most times, however, I’m not. I like the yolk to be all one color.
With that being said, I think i have finally figured out the proper way to boil an egg. I am so excited to share it with you. Hopefully, it will save you a lot of frustration that, well i have had to deal with way, way, way too many times. It can really be trial and error. After reading this, Let’s hope for success.

3. The best egg salad recipe ever. I haven’t found one of these yet. Nor have i made one. But this is another recipe i want to tackle. I love a good egg salad .
OK so here goes,
Put the eggs in a pot and cove them with water. Make sure the eggs are fully covered in the water. Put about a tablespoon of salt in the water and bring to a boil. Once it starts to boil, turn the eye off and let the eggs simmer in the water for about 10-15 minutes. It will depend on how large the eggs are. The larger the longer.
Now, i feel this step is quite important. When the eggs are done pour off the water and run cold water over the eggs until covered again. Let them sit for about 5 minutes. And now you are ready to peel.
Easy cheese OMELETTE
Oh yes! This is it guys! You have probably seen a lot of different ways to make an omelette. I actually watched a video where someone put there eggs and toppings in a bag and sat the bag in boiling water. Absolutely not. How would you know that the egg is fully cooked? I don’t you can. Remember, i like to know my egg is cooked all the way through, no wetness.
I am the same way with my omelette. For this one you will need about
1/4 cup of cheese (the favorite)
1/3 cup of onions
If the’re feeling adventurous, you can add 1/4 cup of ham, bacon, or sausage (i vote bacon)
For this particular dish, you would want to use a smaller pan. Take about 1/3 tsp of butter and melt it in the pan.
Beat the eggs, and then pour the eggs over the melted butter. I like to cook this on med high.
You will be able to see the eggs starting to cook. They become a brighter yellow. I like to shake the pot a bit so that i can see if the uncooked egg on top jiggles a lot. If it doesn’t i am now ready to throw on my toppings. However, you first want to turn the heat down to about medium. Then you can put everything in all at once.
Lay these toppings just on one side of the omelette. Grab that spatula and put it under the side that does not have any toppings. You will just fold this side over the other. Let this side cook for about 3 minutes then flip the omelette over to the other side let it cook for another 3 minutes. You can then take it out and enjoy.
Oh man. I know what we are having for breakfast tomorrow!
The Best Deviled eggs/dip
Funny story. So, you already know that i have had my “errors” with boiled eggs. For Thanksgiving, we always go to my Mother in Laws home. She’s such a great cook and i like to contribute. However, remember we (you and i) are learning together, okay?
So a couple of years ago, I decided i wanted to make deviled eggs for the snacks. This idea didn’t go so well. I didn’t know where i went wrong at all but the shell was just not coming away from the egg well, at all. So the egg white was super chunky because the egg shell was pulling pieces of the egg white with it. A mess!
The yoke was fine so, i came up with a grand idea. Since the egg whites were not presentable, I took the egg yolk and made a Deviled egg dip. Oh mylanta, you guys it was delightful. We ate it with some Ritz crackers. It was even better than deviled eggs. Who would have thought there was anything better than deviled eggs?
Here is what i did. First off, i obviously over cooked my eggs but don’t do that. Just follow the directions above for boiled eggs. When the eggs have been peeled cut each of them in half. Take the yolk out and put all the yolk into a bowl.
For every 3 eggs i would use a spoonful of mayonnaise, a spoonful of mustard, a pinch of salt and pepper, 1 tsp of garlic powder, of course. Mix this very well. You will then spoon some yolk mixture into each egg white. Sprinkle some paprika and you are finished.
For my yummy dip. You will pull all the yolk in a pretty dish. You can sprinkle with paprika and cooked bacon. To Die For!
Eggs, Eggs, and more Eggs
These are just a few ways to make eggs. Just a few. You can do so many things to eggs. You can make the same egg and spruce it up to make it even better than the last time you had them. Eggs are great.
